
Double Chocolate Brownies with a Chocolate Fudge Sauce
These double chocolate brownies with a chocolate fudge sauce are a gorgeous and decadent treat. A must try for brownie lovers!

Ingredients Required
For the brownies:
- 115g Unsalted Butter
- 115g Plain Chocolate, broken into pieces
- 300g Golden Caster Sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 2 Large Eggs
- 140g Plain Flour
- 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
- 100g White Chocolate Chips
For the chocolate fudge sauce:
- 225g Golden Syrup
- 50g Unsalted Butter
- 225g Golden Caster Sugar
- 150ml Milk
- 250ml Double Cream
- 200g Plain Chocolate, broken into pieces
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/350F/Gas Mark 4.
- Grease and line a 7-inch square cake tin
To make the brownies:
- Place the butter and chocolate into a small heatproof bowl set over a pan of hot simmering water until melted. Stir until smooth, then leave to cool slightly.
- Stir in the sugar and salt, then add the eggs one at a time, and stir until blended.
- Sift the flour and cocoa powder into the mixture and beat until smooth.
- Stir in the chocolate chips, then pour the mixture into the prepared tin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is evenly coloured and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out almost clean.
- Leave to cool slightly while preparing the sauce
To make the chocolate fudge sauce:
- Place the butter, sugar, milk, double cream and golden syrup into a small pan and heat gently until the sugar has dissolved.
- Bring to the boil and stir for 10 minutes, or until the mixture is caramel coloured.
- Remove from the heat and add the chocolate. Stir until smooth.
- Cut the brownies into squares and serve immediately with the sauce.
